U’WA CAFÉ GUEST OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF AVRANCHES: A GATHERING CENTERED ON COLOMBIA AND SPECIALTY COFFEE

On Thursday, January 29th, we had the great pleasure of being invited by the Rotary Club of Avranches for an evening filled with meaningful exchanges, discoveries, and, of course, coffee.

A Conference on Colombia and the World of Specialty Coffee

During this meeting, we hosted a presentation dedicated to Colombia, its rich coffee culture, and the specialized world of “specialty coffee.” It was an opportunity to delve into what makes this coffee unique: the meticulous work of the producers, the importance of traceability, and the fundamental differences between specialty and conventional coffee.

Naturally, we also took the time to introduce U’WA Café: the origins of the project, our vision, our values, and our commitment to building a bridge between Colombia and France through a coffee that is demanding, respectful, and deeply human.

Sincere Exchanges and a Warm Welcome

We were deeply touched by the incredibly warm welcome from the Rotary Club members. The many questions asked throughout the talk reflected a genuine interest in our approach, our business model, and our dedication to specialty coffee.

These interactions made the moment particularly lively and enriching, illustrating once again how coffee serves as a wonderful catalyst for connection, unity, and sharing between people and cultures.

A Tasting to Remember

The evening concluded with a tasting of our Pink Bourbon, prepared using the Siphon method. This sensory experience surprised many guests with its sweetness, aromatic complexity, and overall elegance. It was a beautiful moment of sharing around the cup—exactly what we love to pass on through U’WA Café.

Thank You for These Meaningful Encounters

We left this evening feeling inspired and grateful for these sincere discussions centered on shared values.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the members of the Rotary Club of Avranches for their invitation, and especially Simon CATHERINE for his welcome, his involvement, and the quality of our exchanges that made this moment possible.
