Finca El Pedregal was born from Pedro Alfonso Rico Téllez’s determination to restore a land depleted by intensive agricultural practices. When he arrived, the soil was exhausted, a victim of traditional crops dependent on chemical products.
Guided by his passion for coffee and concern for the environment, Pedro trained at SENA and deepened his knowledge at the National University and the University of Cundinamarca. Convinced of the need for change, he adopted sustainable farming practices and embarked on organic coffee cultivation.
For over 20 years, his farm has been an example of ecological resilience. Biodiversity has returned, the land has regained vitality, and his family’s quality of life has improved. Every bean harvested is the result of a deep commitment to nature.
Today, El Pedregal is much more than a farm: it is a sanctuary where man and nature work in harmony, producing an exceptional coffee rich in meaning and flavor.
